IEEE MetroInd 2026 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Award Ceremony.

This award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at IEEE MetroInd 2026.

The author and presenter of the awarded paper will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of the achievement on a special conference webpage.

Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the Award Ceremony.

This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a young researcher (less than 15 Years from degree or PhD).
The Award is promoted by IEEE Young Professionals Affinity Group – Italy Section.

The author and presenter of the awarded paper will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of the achievement on a special conference webpage.

• A monetary prize of EUR 300;
• A signed and stamped official Soft Science Best Paper Award Certificate;
• An APC discount for a manuscript submitted to Soft Science within one year.
